The Vatican, the SSPX and the war of words

The Internet allows everyone to have their say and share their opinion about everything, and the rupture between the Vatican and the SSPX is one that can be written about and shared in a way that was not possible in 1988.

Here are a selection of items I have seen which do provide food for thought and indeed prayer. They are more or less in chronological order, but each one stands alone.

The first article is from Chris Jackson on Hireath in Exile on Substack and looks at what the now soon to be beatified Fulton Sheen wrote about SSPX in 1978, and does a pretty effective demolition job on his arguments. It can be seen at An SSPX Answer to Bishop Fulton Sheen From 1978

Substack also has an interesting piece from Pope Respector arguing that despite what a substantial number of people think, recent years have seen quite a number of modernist clergy disciplined, laicised or excommunicated.
