Marian Pilgrimage - Our Lady of Grace by the Pillar in St Paul’s

From Westminster the Pilgrimage now goes into the City of London and to the mother church of the diocese, St Paul’s Cathedral. The specific object of devotion was the statue of Our Lady of Grace which was at the eastern end of the nave arcade.

My post about it from last year can be seen at Marian Pilgrimage - Our Lady of Grace by the Pillar in St Paul’s

As a prominent feature of the cathedral the statue must have witnessed many royal visits  and events. In the account I wrote last year I commented on the fact that it was by the statue that the body of King Henry VI was shown to Londoners after his almost certain murder in the Tower in May 1471.

Our Lady of Grace Pray for The King and The Queen and for us all
