Whilst in the north-east it seemed appropriate last year to add the chapel of St Mary at Jesmond to Csnon Stevenson’s list. Although it is now in ruins this Norman chapel on the western side of Newcastle upon Tyne continues to attract pilgrims. My post about it can be read at St Mary’s Chapel Jesmond
