The BBC News website has a report on the most recent
research into the DNA of human remains from late Roman and Anglo-Saxon
Britain. This indicates that a third of the DNA of the English comes
from the Anglo-Saxons. It also gives insight into matters such as
intermarriage and the survival of the Romano-British population.
