Celebrating the Oxford Oratory's Twenty Five Years

Further to my post last week about the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Oxford Oratory here is the report about it from the Oratory's website:

Fr Robert Byrne and Fr Dominic Jacob arrived from the Birmingham Oratory on 8th September 1990 at St Aloysius' Oxford, as the beginning of the Oratorian community here.

Our main celebrations for the Oxford Oratory's Silver Jubilee will be on Sunday 27th September, when His Grace the Archbishop will celebrate a Solemn Pontifical Mass at 11 o'clock, Bishop Byrne will preach, and there will be a party in the Parish Centre after Mass.

On the 8th September itself, with the music of St Giles' Fair thudding in the background, Bishop Byrne gave Solemn Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, during which the Te Deum was sung in thanksgiving.

May Our Lady and St Philip continue to guide and protect our community, and enable us to flourish.
