Today is the Feast of the Annunciation, and an appropriate opportunity to post a picture of this famous and lovely sculpture from the church of St. Lorenz in Nuremberg.

This delightful group of of limewood sculptures celebrating the Annunciation was made by the by the Bavarian artist Veit Stoss in 1518 and is supended above the choir.
