Sponsoring the Dominicans

As the congregation left Blackfriars on Saturday evening we were encouraged to sponsor five Dominicans, two of them from the novices studying at Blackfriars in Oxford, who plan to walk a 190 mile Wainwright route across northern England from coast to coast in late July and early August to help raise money for the Dominican's priests training fund. Due to the increase in vocations to the Order - a very good thing in itself - there is now in consequence the need to raise £1 million over the next seven years to train these young men.
