Forty Hours at SS Gregory and Augustine


From Tuesday June 17th to Thursday June 19th, the traditional date for the celebration of Corpus Christi. SS Gregory and Augustine in Oxford are observing the Forty Hours Devotion, This  will begin at 8.30 a.m. following the usual Mass on Tuesday and will culminate in High Mass in the Extraordinary Form, Procession of the Blessed Sacrament, and Benediction beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

There will be EF Masses at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, and on the Friday following, as well as the opening OF Mass on Tuesday at 8 a.m. and during the Forty Hours on Wednesday and Thursday the celebrations at 9.30 a.m.will also be OF.

The Blessed Sacrament will be reposed each day at 10 p.m. 

Following on from this celebration the North Oxford Deanery Corpus Christi Procession will be at 2.30 p.m. Sunday June 22nd, commencing at the Oxford Oratory and processing through the city centre, with apause for a sermon at Blackfriars.
